In 2022, Michigan voters approved a constitutional amendment that made permanent changes to how we cast our votes in local, state, and federal elections. This guide summarizes the changes to our election process, helping you decide how you would like to cast your ballot this fall.

Agriculture is vital to Michigan’s economy. Our food and agriculture industry contributes $104.7 billion annually to our state’s economy and accounts for nearly 17% of Michigan’s employment. With more than 300 varieties of food and agricultural items, Michigan is one of the most diverse states in the country in terms of crop variety.

Immigration has helped make America a shining city on a hill. Almost every one of us can trace our family tree back to an ancestor in search of the promise of America and a better life.
However, this generational promise that helped build our nation is becoming more difficult to preserve with our current immigration system. Federal immigration policies that allow for an unsecure southern border make every state a border state — and we’re feeling the effects of these policies right here in Michigan.
It’s beyond time that we as a state start doing all that we can to secure our borders, enforce our immigration laws, and keep our communities and state safe.
